Six Steps for a Cleaner ECG Snapshot

A noisy ECG snapshot does not automatically mean something is wrong. Motion, dry contact, loose fit, muscle tension, and electrical interference can make a short wearable trace harder to read. Try these six steps when you are using the feature for a routine wellness record.

Maintain steady contact for the full guided capture.
  1. Sit down: choose a stable chair and rest for a moment.
  2. Check the fit: keep the watch secure and flat without overtightening.
  3. Clean the contact: make sure the watch and skin are clean and dry.
  4. Support your arms: rest them on a table or your lap to reduce muscle tension.
  5. Make the required contact: touch the electrode as directed without pressing excessively.
  6. Stay still and quiet: avoid talking, moving, or adjusting the watch until the capture ends.

If the trace is still noisy

Check the product guide, move away from obvious electrical interference, and try later under calm conditions. Repeatedly capturing a trace is not a substitute for care. If you have symptoms, feel unwell, or have an urgent concern, stop measuring and seek appropriate medical help.

A clean trace is still only a single-lead snapshot for general wellness awareness. Keep its date and context, and let a qualified healthcare professional interpret medical concerns.
